1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the CIVRA browser extension and related services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

CIVRA is an AI-powered email security tool that integrates with Gmail to detect phishing, business email compromise (BEC), spoofing, and other email-based threats. The Service includes:

3. Account Registration

To use CIVRA, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

5. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

You retain all rights to your email content. CIVRA processes email data solely for the purpose of threat analysis and does not claim ownership over any user content.

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or security patches with or without notice.

7. Accuracy of Threat Detection

CIVRA uses AI and machine learning models to analyze email threats. While we continuously improve detection accuracy, no security tool can guarantee 100% detection of all threats or the absence of false positives. You acknowledge that:

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, algorithms, models, designs, trademarks, and content, is owned by CIVRA and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use CIVRA's trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written consent.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

9. Subscription and Billing

Certain features of the Service may require a paid subscription. By subscribing to a paid plan:

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension and closing your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in activity that harms the Service or other users.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your account data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CIVRA and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL DETECT ALL THREATS OR BE FREE FROM ERRORS.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CIVRA and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

14. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with the changes, you should discontinue use of the Service.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.
